History of Rising Stars

Rising Stars began long before Thailand — its true origin lies in Las Vegas, where Master Toddy built one of the most influential Muay Thai gyms in the world. At a time when new fighters struggled to find fair, safe opportunities, he created a structured platform designed to grow fighters step by step.

These early Rising Stars events inside his Las Vegas academy became a launchpad for fighters who would later become global icons. Many of today’s top athletes first stepped into the ring under Master Toddy’s guidance — including Gina Carano, one of the pioneers of female combat sports, Kevin Ross, the "Soul Assassin" and a legend of American Muay Thai, Tito Ortiz, MMA superstar, and many more who would go on to UFC, world titles, and international recognition.

Master Toddy built Rising Stars on one belief: “A fighter needs the right path — step by step — to become great.” Rising Stars became a fair, safe, and highly educational fight platform that taught real Muay Thai, not just competition.

Today, Rising Stars continues in Thailand with upgraded production, professional matchmaking, and pathways leading towards major stadiums. But its heart remains unchanged — giving fighters at every level the opportunity to rise under the lights.
